Michéal Lyne graduated from University College Cork in 2014 with a degree in Energy Engineering. His areas of special focus were in the fields of renewable energy and electrical engineering. Michéal joined ESTEEM because the program offered the potential to branch out into new areas and expand his experiences in business, finance and entrepreneurship. Michéal combined his technical engineering background with his business skills and acumen throughout his thesis project.
For his ESTEEM thesis project, Michéal worked with Glen Dimplex, the market leader in electrical heating. His project focused on the best path to commercialisation of the Quantum Energy Storage system in the North American marketplace.
Michéal’s previous work experience included a role as an Energy Procurement Engineer at Energy Services Ltd. an energy consultancy firm in Ireland. Michéal also served as a manager for Cregane Hall Student Accommodation in Ireland.
After graduating from ESTEEM, Michéal will be pursuing a career in energy consulting for Deloitte. ESTEEM gave Michéal the opportunity to gain exposure to an enormous network of businesspeople and entrepreneurs and provided a launching platform for a career in business.
