Arnaud Bacye, originally from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, graduated from the University of Notre Dame in May of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, Arnaud chose the ESTEEM program to help develop business acumen to complement his technical background. For his capstone Thesis Project, Arnaud worked with former ESTEEM alum Kevin O’Keeffe and Professor Peter Bauer on their startup company Slipstream’s Projects, aimed at providing quick charging systems to fleet managers.
After ESTEEM, Arnaud joined Intel at their Programmable Solutions Group PSG (formerly Altera) in their Sales, Marketing & Tech Services Rotation Program in Silicon Valley. His current rotation is with the New User Experience Group, which focuses on facilitating and enhancing the out of box experience PSG customers have with their Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) solutions. Says Arnaud, “I certainly believe that ESTEEM helped me prepare well enough to embark confidently upon this position. Thanks to the ESTEEM curriculum, I was exposed to the different stages in creating a business ranging from prototyping to launching/marketing strategies, which truly have been of an invaluable support in forging a great foundation for my first steps in the tech corporate environment.” Arnaud also could not be more grateful for the level of dedication and camaraderie his peers, faculty / staff members and advisors have shown in creating such a safe-learning entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Arnaud hopes some day to use the knowledge he has learned at ESTEEM and eventually his experience in the corporate world to lead his own venture.
